The Jägermeister Porsche 956C is one of the most striking and recognizable Group C race cars, thanks to its iconic bright orange livery adorned with Jägermeister branding. Built by Porsche in the early 1980s, the 956C was a dominant force in endurance racing, featuring a 2.65-liter turbocharged flat-six engine producing around 620 horsepower. Combined with its ground-effect aerodynamics, which maximized downforce for incredible cornering speeds, the 956C was nearly untouchable on high-speed circuits like Le Mans. The Jägermeister-liveried version was fielded by privateer teams such as Brun Motorsport, competing in the World Sportscar Championship (WSC) against both factory-backed Porsches and rival manufacturers.

While the Jägermeister Porsche 956C did not achieve the same level of success as some of its factory-run counterparts, it remains a fan favorite due to its striking color scheme and presence on the grid during the golden era of Group C racing. Brun Motorsport’s 956C entries were highly competitive, frequently battling for podium positions in endurance races throughout the mid-1980s. The Jägermeister branding, already famous in motorsport through its sponsorship of touring cars and Formula 1, became even more legendary thanks to its association with the powerful and elegant Porsche 956C. Today, the car is celebrated as a standout among Porsche’s vast racing history, remembered for both its performance and unmistakable visual appeal.
